System Vice President

Bradley (Brad) Goodson originally joined Ochsner Baptist Medical Center as Vice President of Operations in May 2008 and was named Chief Executive Officer –Ochsner Baptist Medical Center in February 2011. On or about November 1, 2012, Mr. Goodson will assume the role of System Vice President focused on the “Prove Our Value” and “Cost Reduction” strategic initiatives for the system.

Brad was raised in Charleston, South Carolina and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in International Trade and Finance. From there he went on to earn his Master of Business Administration/Master of Health Administration from the University of Houston-Clearlake.

In June 2000, Brad moved to Baton Rouge to complete his Administrative Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, and upon completion of his residency, remained with Our Lady of the Lake as Managed Care Analyst. He also served at Biloxi Regional Medical Center as Director of Managed Care and at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Florida as Assistant CEO/Interim CEO to the 110 bed hospital.

Brad joined Ochsner Medical Center in November 2007 as the Assistant Administrator at Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner. In addition to his responsibilities as Vice President of Operations at Ochsner Baptist Medical Center, Brad also served as Interim Vice President of Operations at Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank.

Brad is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

Brad and his wife Laura, have two sons, Gabe and Kyle, and reside in New Orleans.
