Chief Executive Officer - Ochsner Baptist Medical Center
Robert (Rob) Wolterman originally joined the Ochsner Baptist Medical Center team as Vice President of Operations and now serves as Chief Executive Officer at the campus. Rob was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. From there, he went on to earn his Masters of Health Administration and Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
In July 1998, Rob moved to New Orleans to complete his Administrative Fellowship at Browne-McHardy Clinic. Upon completion of his fellowship, Rob stayed on with Browne-McHardy as Manager of Business Development and then as Director of Operations. He joined Ochsner in February 2002 as Manager of Business Development. Rob has served in several other roles at Ochsner including Director of New Orleans Satellite Operations, Assistant Vice President of Cardiology and Radiology and most recently as Vice President of Clinical Operations.
With the tremendous complexity, reconstruction, and service expansion needs surrounding Ochsner Baptist, Rob's understanding of growing the business, managing systems, and exploring integration opportunities with the Main Campus will provide additional executive depth and expertise to the Baptist team.
Rob has been involved over the years in a variety of community activities including Young Leadership Council (YLC) and Leadership Jefferson. He also has volunteered at Children's Hospital and participated in local rebuilding efforts in the New Orleans area.
Rob is the youngest of nine children. He and his wife, Cheri, have two sons, Brody and Cooper, and reside in Metairie.
