Course Overview:
The comprehensive training program was developed for and tested by EMS personnel across the US. The program addresses both the basic and advanced educational needs for EMTs and Paramedics including stroke facts, signs and symptoms, field assessment, and hospital treatment.
Course Objectives:
Increase and maintain prehospital providers’ knowledge of stroke
Increase recognition of stroke signs and symptoms on scene
Increase the occurrence of EMS calls identifying symptoms a “possible stroke/CVA”
To facilitate delivery of stroke patients to the nearest appropriate hospitals including recognized stroke centers
Reduce enroute time and time to treatment
Credits:
Accredited training program where participants can earn up to two contact hours.
Upon completion of a group educational session you will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance
