Dr. Clark Alsfeld is a hematology oncologist with Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his undergraduate degree from LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and he received his medical degree from LSUHSC School of Medicine in New Orleans. Following this, he completed residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina. Following residency, he served as a chief resident with a role as chief resident for Patient Safety and Quality Improvement through the VA hospital. He completed his fellowship in hematology oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina, serving as Chief Fellow during his third year of fellowship. He then completed an advanced fellowship in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. Dr. Alsfeld's interests include leukemias and other myeloid malignancies, stem cell transplantation, graft-versus-host disease and cellular therapy.
