Dr. George Fuhrman is a surgical oncologist at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He serves as the Chair of the Ochsner Department of Surgery and has also served as a program director for the past 26 years. Dr. Fuhrman's current practice focuses on acute care surgery with an interest in the management of surgical complications, such as bile duct injuries, enterocutaneous fistula and necrotizing pancreatitis. He is also actively engaged in the performance of complex surgical oncology and breast surgery.
