Dr. George Morris III is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. He began his practice in New Orleans in 1975. Dr. Morris attended LSU Medical School and graduated in 1969. In 1973, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Charity Hospital within the Louisiana State University division.

After serving two years in the US Army at Fort Bragg's Womack Army Hospital, Dr. Morris returned to New Orleans to begin his private practice. He has a special interest and expertise in gynecologic surgery, including hysteroscopy, pelvic floor reconstruction, urinary incontinence procedures, and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Since 1991, he has performed over 550 complete laparoscopic hysterectomies, supracervical hysterectomies and advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgeries for endometriosis and ovarian disease.

In 1996, Dr. Morris received Accreditation by the Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. In 2009, he was listed as one of the top doctors in the August edition of the New Orleans Magazine.
