Dr. Michael Maddox is a surgical oncologist with a focus in urologic oncology at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed a general surgery internship followed by a urology residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Subsequently he completed a two-year fellowship in endourology at Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Maddox is board certified by the American Board of Urology and he is an active member of the American Urological Association. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 2015 where he currently serves as the program director of the urology residency. His clinical interests include robotic surgery, and he serves as the chair of the robotics steering committee at Ochsner Main Campus. He also specializes in minimally invasive surgical treatment of kidney stones. He currently resides in New Orleans.
