Brenda S. Broussard received her BSN from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada, her MSN from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana and her Midwifery Certificate from th Frontier School of midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky. Brenda has enjoyed teaching maternal/infant nursing as a member of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of Nursing for over eight years. She received the UL Nursing Award for Teaching excellence in May 2009 and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. Brenda has practiced full-scope nurse-midwifery in Mississippi for over five years. She is committed both locally and globally to improving healthcare for women and infants.
