A native of Bowling Green, KY, Dr. Moore earned both his undergraduate degree in History (B.A., 1994) and his medical degree (M.D., 1998) from Tulane University. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, in 2003. He then completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2005, serving as the first fellow in a joint program between the Departments of Head and Neck Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Moore has been certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology since 2004.
Dr. Moore has been a part-time member of the Ochsner staff since 2009. His clinical interests include benign and malignant tumors of the upper aerodigestive tract, advanced skin cancer, and thyroid/parathyroid disorders. He has published mutiple papers in the peer-reviewed literature, as well numerous book chapters and invited articles focusing on advanced cutaneous malignancy, functional outcomes of head and neck reconstruction, and contemporary treatment of head and neck cancer. Dr. Moore currently practices at Ochsner Medical Center
