Dr. Cleland earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville and completed his surgical internship and surgery residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Cleland is board certified in surgery and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1992. His special surgical interests include laparoscopic and general thoracic surgery.
