As a graduate of Rush Medical College, Dr. Monaco obtained his orthopaedic residency training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He followed that with a sports medicine fellowship at the Northwestern Medical School Center for sports medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has been a team orthopaedist with the Chicago Cubs and company doctor for Chicago City Ballet and Ballet Chicago. He has interests in arthroscopic procedures of the knee and shoulder as well as general orthopaedics.
