After completing her undergraduate education at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Candace Moore, a Baton Rouge native, went on to obtain her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center also in Jackson. She remained at UMC and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency in 2006. She then entered private practice with Magee Womancare Associates which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a hospital whose Gynecology Department has consistently been named in the top ten of the US News and World Report’s Honor Roll for the last decade.
Dr. Moore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has extensive experience with routine gynecologic care and in managing low and moderate risk pregnancies. Furthermore, she is able to provide complete operative intervention for common gynecologic and obstetrical disorders. Dr. Moore has a special interest in adolescent gynecology and operative hysteroscopy.
