Chantal Lorio, DPM, joined Ochsner Medical Center-New Orleans as the Chair of Podiatry on July 15, 2009, and as an Associate Medical Director of the Ochsner Wound Center. She graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge with a B.S. degree in Zoology. She then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, graduating with honors as a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, and did her podiatric surgical residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee. Dr. Lorio is board certified in primary podiatric medicine with the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, and in foot surgery with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Wound Management, the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr. Lorio previously served as Chief of Podiatry at East Jefferson General Hospital and was Medical Director of their multidisciplinary wound center. She also served as the Director of Podiatric Medical Education of Lakeside Hospital and as the Residency Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency at Lakeside Hospital.
