Dr. Cheryll Bowers-Stephens is a board certified Adult, Adolescent, and Child Psychiatrist who joined the department in July of 2007. She completed her adult training at Ochsner in 1991 and her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at Tulane University in 1993. She treats children ages 2 - 22 with Developmental Disorders such as Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Austism, Tourettes Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder and Developmental Disabilities including Mental Retardation. She uses an integrative approach to treatment combining behavioral/cognitive behavioral approaches with pyschopharmacology.
