Dr. Rowan earned his medical degree from LSU where was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. DDr. Rowan practiced in Florence, Alabama for 9 years before joining the Ochsner staff in 2002. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His professional interests include advanced laparoscopy, breast surgery, stapled hemorrhoidectomy and endocrine surgery (thyroid and parathyroid). Dr. Rowan practices at Ochsner Health Center - Covington and Ochsner Health Center - Slidell.
