After completing his undergraduate training at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1996, Dr. Cliff Moore returned to Shreveport to complete his Master's degree in Neuropharmacology in 1998. He was awarded his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2002 and subsequently moved to Jackson, Mississippi for residency. After completing his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Dr. Moore went on to complete fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Magee Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2009. He accepted an offer to begin practice with Drs. Robichaux and Longo at Ochsner Medical Center in the summer of 2009.
During his training Dr. Moore has been selected to be a member and serve on multiple committees of multiple national and international professional organizations including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and Society for Gynecological Investigation. While completing fellowship, Cliff was awarded the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) ACES award for excellence in patient care, an award given annually to less than 1% of the 40,000 health care providers at UPMC.
Dr. Moore is formally trained in the care and maintenance of high-risk pregnancies. He has special interest in fetal diagnosis and therapy, care and delivery of multi-fetal gestations and treatment/prevention of preterm birth. Currently he has ongoing research attempting to define the molecular mechanisms surrounding the onset of labor. He has had specialized training in chorionic villus sampling (CVS), diagnostic amniocentesis, diagnostic ultrasound and multiple other techniques related to fetal care.
