Dr. Ellen Schneider is an honor graduate of Vanderbilt University and LSU School of Medicine who has been in private practice for 21 years. As a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, she specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the eye. Refractive cataract surgery with multifocal implants and implants that correct astigmatism, cataract surgery with traditional monofocal implants, routine eye exams, contacts lenses, BOTOX, and exams for diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration are all part of her medical practice.
She was involved in the 1987 FDA investigational study of BOTOX. She has extensive experience with BOTOX for spasms of the eyelids as well as for wrinkles/cosmetic purposes.
Dr. Schneider welcomes new patients at both offices.
