Dr. Riddick graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he also earned his medical degree and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his residency and endocrinology fellowship at Barnes Hospital-Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1961. Dr. Riddick is an internationally recognized figure in various professional and medical organizations having served in a wide array of positions including Medical Director-CEO of Ochsner Clinic, CEO Of Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, Section Head of Endocrinology, and as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Master of the American College of Physicians and was named CEO, Emeritus of Ochsner Clinic Foundation in 2001 and provides patient care part-time.
