Dr. Morris is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, who began his practice in New Orleans in 1975. He attended LSU Medical School, graduating in 1969. In 1973, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Charity Hospital, the LSU division. After serving two years in the US Army at Fort Bragg's Womack Army Hospital, he returned to New Orleans to begin his private practice. Dr. Morris has special interest and expertise in Gynecologic Surgery, including hysteroscopy, pelvic floor reconstruction, urinary incontinence procedures and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Since 1991, he has performed over 550 complete laparoscopic hysterectomies, supracervical hysterectomies and advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgeries for endometriosis and ovarian disease. In 1996, he received Accreditation by the Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. Dr. Morris practices at Elmwood Medical Center & runs a Specialized Vulva Clinic at Ochsner Medical Center on Jefferson Highway and can be reached at 504-842-4238.
