Dr. Gomes earned his medical degree from LSU in New Orleans and completed his internship and residency at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital followed by a fellowship in pulmonary & critical care medicine at Ochsner. Dr. Gomes is board certified in Internal and Pulmonary Medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1993. He has an interest in Occupational Lung Disease and is a NIOSH certified B reader of chest radiographs. He is the Medical Director of the Baton Rouge Sleep Disorders Center. He is the Chief of Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center Baton Rouge.
