Dr. Eckholdt earned his medical degree from LSU and completed his internship and residency at Ochsner before completing fellowships in vascular and cardiothoracic surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Eckholdt is board certified in general, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery and has been on staff at Ochsner since the Spring of 2002. His professional interests include off-pump coronary artery bypass and endografts for abdominal aortic aneursyms.
