Dr. Eissa earned his medical degree from Cairo University, Egypt. He completed his internal medicine residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, and his physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at Emory University Center for Rehabilitation Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Eissa is board certified in internal medicine, physical medicine and pain medicine and is a certified independent medical examiner. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 1998. Dr. Eissa's expertise is in the area of musculoskeletal medicine and pain management and his special medical interests include spinal and joint injections and vertebroplasty.
