Dr. Ahmad earned her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Following graduation, she completed her internship and residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a cardiology fellowship at University of Chicago Medical Center. She subsequently did additional training in Cardiovascular Imaging at University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Ahmad is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with additional certifications in Adult Echocardiography by National Board of Echocardiography, as well as certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2012 and practices at the Ochsner Medical Center on Jefferson Highway.
