Dr. J. Philip Boudreaux is a Professor of Surgery at LSUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and also serves as the Director of Liver/Pancreas Transplant Services. Dr. Boudreaux attended Medical School at LSU School of Medicine. He then completed his internship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and his residency in General Surgery at Charity Hospital also located in New Orleans. Dr. Boudreaux has also completed fellowships at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital inn Pediatric Surgery and at the University of Minnesota in Organ Transplantation Immunology. His special surgical interests include, liver, pancreas, kidney transplantation, organ donation, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, radio frequency oblation of liver tumors. Surgical treatment of neuroendocrine tumors, carcinoids. In addition to being board certified in surgery, Dr. Boudreaux is board certified in surgery and critical care and holds a specialty certificate in transplant immunology.
