Dr. Silva earned his medical degree from Cayetano Heredia University, Lima, Peru in 1987. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Illinois in 1991. Dr. Silva completed Fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Intervention in 1994 and 1999, respectively, at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, New Orleans.
