Dr. Dalovisio earned his medical degree from Tulane where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville and his infectious diseases fellowship at Ochsner. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1978. Dr. Dalovisio is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America, an organization for which he was former president.
