Dr. Guarisco graduated magna cum laude from Northeast Louisiana University and earned his medical degree from LSU in New Orleans. He completed his internship at Charity Hospital in Lafayette, his emergency medicine residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, and a fellowship in anesthesiology at Ochsner. He is board certified in emergency medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1980 and has been chairman since 1991.
