Dr. Zavatsky earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. At New York University / Hospital for Joint Disease he completed an orthopaedic surgery fellowship specializing in spine. Additionally, he completed a traveling AO Spine International Fellowship at the Instituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan, Italy. Dr. Zavatsky joined the staff at Ochsner in September of 2008, and his interests include cervical spine and pediatric and adult spinal deformity.
