Dr. Parks received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He then went on to complete his surgical residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Folowing this, he completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates. Dr. Parks has been on staff with Ochsner since 2009, and he is a Fellow of the American Board of Surgery. The scope of his clinical practice includes general surgical procedures as well as diseases of the colon and rectum.
Dr. Parks' clinical interests include colon cancer, sphincter preserving surgery for rectal cancer, diverticulitis and endoscopy.
