Neil Delude is a Physician Assistant and certified Athletic Trainer in the Sports Medicine section at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. In 2005, Neil came to Ochsner from Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine in New Orleans. Neil is a native of Canada and received his BPE from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He received an MSESS in Athletic Training from the University of Florida in Gainesville and an MS in Physician Assistant studies from Finch University of Health Sciences/the Chicago School of Medicine. From 1987 to 1991, Neil worked as an Athletic Trainer for the National Championships, Student Trainer for Glen Sather Sportsmedicine Clinic, Head Trainer for the Jr. Mens' National Basketball Team, Assistant Trainer for the Edmonton Eskimos Football Club and as a Rehabilitation Therapist at the Western Occupational Rehabilitation Center, all in Alberta, Canada. From 1991 to 1998, Neil worked as Athletic Trainer for a variety of schools in Florida and for the Atlanta Human Performance Center. From 1997 to 2005, he was at Tulane and assisted the staff with primary coverage for Tulane's volleyball and soccer teams and also assisted with other varsity teams. Neil also provided athletic event coverage and developed close associations with some of New Orleans' other universities and colleges including Xavier University, Southern University of New Orleans, Dillard University and Delgado Jr. College. Neil also developed relationships with well-known local high school athletic teams, such as Xavier Prep, De LaSalle and Shaw.
