Dr. Rivera earned his medical degree from Universidad IberoAmericana, Dominican Republic in 1998. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rivera went on to serve as Chief Medical Resident before completing his Gastroenterology fellowship at the same institution. Towards the completion of his GI fellowship he went on to obtain advanced therapeutics training in PancreatoBiliary disorders at the Ochsner Health System. He will continue training in Endoscopic Ultrasound at the same institution under the tutelage of Dr Bob Etemad. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. His professional interests include therapeutic endoscopy, pancreatic and biliary disease.
