Regina McDonald is a native of Alabama who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama in 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1997 and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Mrs. McDonald's experiences include working as the lead nurse practitioner in the heart and lung transplant intensive care unit at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for 11 years where she cared for heart and lung transplant patients, advanced heart failure, left ventricular assist devices, and pulmonary arterial hypertension patients. She has also worked for critical care medicine caring for patients in the ICU's.
