SAMMY KHATIB, M.D earned his medical degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan in 1999. He completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington D.C, where he also was Chief Medical Resident. He went on to do his fellowship in cardiology at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA., where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. He then pursued additional training in Electrophysiology at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Fl. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. His interest is in management and radiofrequency ablation of complex arrhythmias. He practices at the main campus at Jefferson Hwy, as well as on the West Bank and can be reached at 504 842-4145.
