Scott Dufrene earned his social work degree from Louisiana State University in 1996. He received his state license for social work in 1998. He has worked in psychiatric social work for the past 15 years in New orleans, Thibodeaux, and Baton Rouge areas. He has served patients at different levels of care including inpatient, day hospitalizaion, and outpatient. He counsels clients dealing with depression, anxiety, panic, grief, substance abuse, marital conflict, and stress. He utilizes cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, and 12-step techniques.
