Shirley received her Masters of Science in Nursing with a specializations in Family and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2010. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to coming to Ochsner, she worked in a Internal Medicine – Pediatrics private practice clinic on the North Shore. She also has over 13 years of experience as an RN in Hospice and Med-Surg, as well as, over 13 years of experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
