Dr. Stephen Hales has practiced medicine in New Orleans since 1978. He started Hales Pediatrics in 1982 as a single physician practice, which has grown to four Board Certified Pediatricians today. He is a graduate of the University of Utah College of Medicine and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at LSU School of Medicine, where he teaches a course on doctor/patient relationships and medical ethics to first year students. He has served on the Boards of Trustees for Children’s Hospital, Metairie Park Country Day School, St. George’s Episcopal School, New Schools for New Orleans and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a Director of Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank.
Dr. Hales and his wife, Nancy, are the proud parents of six sons and enjoy the company of 10 grandchildren. He has been named “Best Pediatrician” several years by NOLA Baby, and has been honored by the Children’s Museum, the Family Services Society, Young Leadership Council, and St. Charles Magazine for his service to children and to the community.
