Dr. Deitelzweig earned his medical degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed his internship and residency at Cornell University Medical College and Northshore University Hospital. He completed fellowships in hepatology and vascular medicine at Ochsner and holds an Executive Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of New Orleans. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and has been honored as one of the 'Best Doctors in America' in 2006. Dr. Deitelzweig is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Deitelzweig serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Ochsner Health System and Chairman of the Dept of Hospital Medicine. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 1993.
