Dr. Conway earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He completed his internship and residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, and also completed some international studies in Ghanna during that time. He then completed his surgical oncology fellowship at John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, CA. He is board certified in general surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. His clinical interests are complex upper GI oncologic surgery, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, including adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine tumors, biliary tract cancers, including cholangiocarcinoma and gallbladder cancer; metastatic disease to the liver, ablation therapy of metastatic liver disease, including microwave ablation, carcinoid tumors, abdominal sarcoma, including GI stromal tumors (GIST), complex upper GI surgery for beingn disease, and incorporating minimally invasive approaches to gastric, pancreatic, and liver surgery. Other areas include melanoma, soft tissue sarcoma, breast cancer and sentinel node biopsy.
