Dr. Pan obtained her MD from Fudan University Shanghai Medical College in China and her PhD in Neuroscience from Tulane University. She received Neurology residency training at Tulane University and Sleep Medicine Fellowship training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. She is board certified in Neurology and expects board certification in Sleep Medicine in November 2011. She was a part-time neurologist at Ochsher in the past. She has been a Professor of Neuroscience at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center since 2007 and will continue to conduct research there part-time, on topics of neuroinflammation, autoimmunity, neurodegeneration, obesity, and CNS drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier and blood-spinal cord barrier. Dr. Pan will address any type of sleep disorders, including insomnia, hypersomnolence, sleep disordered breathing, sleep-related movement disorders, and circadian rhythm-associated disorders.
