Dr. Barfield earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Following graduation, he completed his internship and residency at LSU Charity Hospital and Southwest Texas University, respectively. Dr. Barfield specializes in internal medicine and has a medical interest in cardiovascular and preventative medicine. He has been on staff at Ochsner since the fall of 2004. He practices at the Ochsner Health Center in Covington. Dr. Bardield is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
