Since opening in 1985, Ochsner Health Center – Kenner has added a number of physicians, services and community outreach programs. During this time, it has also become the acute care community hospital that the residents of Kenner, Metairie and the River Parishes have come to count on when in need.
More recently, the center’s 15-bed Level II emergency room has been renovated and its OB Unit has been reopened and now offers waterbirths. Other unique services include an advanced outpatient diagnostic and therapy center; wound care and hyperbarics; a nationally-recognized neuroendocrine tumor program; and an ultra-rapid detox program.
With renovated, modern facilities and superior nursing and physician staff, all of the benefits of a large urban health center are available at Ochsner Health Center – Kenner, a community-based hospital. The center’s cardiac catherization lab even offers a multitude of procedures, from coronary stentings to cardiac angiograms. The list of outstanding services only builds from there: advanced orthopedics, general surgery, gynecologic procedures, gastroenterology diagnostics and intensive care.
