Why Get a Mammogram?

  • All women can get breast cancer, even those without a family history of the disease.
  • Your chance of getting breast cancer increases with age, so the older you get, the more important it is to get a mammogram.
  • Mammograms continue to be an important tool that can find breast cancer early and save your life.

Who Should Get a Mammogram?

The National Cancer Institute recommends that you get a mammogram every 1 to 2 years once you are 40 or older.
