What is OchsnerView?
OchsnerView is a web-based secure clinical portal that provides you access to pertinent clinical information regarding your patients' encounters. In addition, you may choose to receive notifications via e-mail or fax about key events in the care of your patients, such as lab test results and discharge status.
What will I be able to view with this new portal?
You will be able to view various aspects of the patient chart. This data includes but is not limited to the following:
- Discharge summaries
- History & Physicals
- EKGs and cardiology reports
- Lab Results
- Medications
- Vital Signs
- Emergency Department Notes
- Radiology images and reports
Is OchsnerView replacing MDLink?
No. You will still be able to access MDLink and all existing applications. OchsnerView is another tool that you can utilize to enhance your process of the delivery of care with a patient-centric view rather than one that is encounter-based.
Will non-staff referring physicians be able to use OchsnerView?
Yes. One of the major goals and benefits of the portal is that it will be accessible by both community staff physicians as well as non-staff referring physicians.
How will this benefit me and my patients?
You will be able to access pertinent information for your patients through one secure location. Additionally, you can be notified regarding particular changes in your patients' care and conditions based on the preferences you specify. This will allow for real-time, comprehensive management of the health of your patients.
How do I access OchsnerView?
Gaining access to OchsnerView is quick and easy. Once you have signed the access agreement, you will be granted access and furnished with a learning tutorial. This new system is easy to navigate and very user friendly!
Additionally, the IS Physicians will be rounding at each of the community hospitals starting in November in case you have any additional questions.
