Ochsner's new electronic medical record is available to our North Shore providers. This brings significant benefits for our patients, including a new, more powerful MyOchsner patient portal!
What does this mean for you?
You will use the enhanced MyOchsner for appointments and communication with physicians on the North Shore, and you will use the current MyOchsner for appointments and communication with physicians on the South Shore or in Baton Rouge.
We're taking a big step forward and upgrading the tools that our physicians, nurses and clinical staff use to take care of you. Over the next two years, Ochsner will take our current electronic medical record (EMR) to the next level by implementing the industry-leading Epic software in all of our health centers. The North Shore Health centers will be the first , beginning Dec 1, 2011 and the others will closely follow.
MyOchsner will now be powered by Epic MyChart and will allow you to easily:
- Graph and trend test results
- View vital signs and follow-up instructions from past appointments
- Get health maintenance reminders tailored to you
- View the education materials your physicians and nurses recommend
