NEW ORLEANS –   On April 9, 2014, vascular surgeons Taylor Smith and Charles Sternbergh successfully performed a complex minimally invasive endovascular aortic aneurysm repair – the first in the metropolitan New Orleans area.Because this patient’s aortic aneurysm extended to the kidney arteries, it was not possible to treat with a standard endovascular stent.
