Students work hand in hand with scientists and physicians
Now in its 7th year, the Ochsner Academic Division’s STAR Program is accepting applications for its popular high school summer science program that features hands-on research in a laboratory with medical scientists; exciting medical career job shadow experiences; and a variety of demonstrations, presentations, and seminars. The STAR curriculum is carefully designed to immerse students in the medical-scientific environment for the duration of the 5-week program with the goal of stimulating interest in medicine-related college programs.

For the third consecutive year, HealthGrades has named Ochsner Medical Center and Ochsner Medical Center- West Bank Campus (both campuses of Ochsner Clinic Foundation) recipients of the HealthGrades Emergency Medicine Excellence Award, placing the emergency medicine program among the top five percent of programs in the nation. Ochsner Auxiliary to Give Two Scholarships to Area Students
Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore’s Auxiliary has announced its annual call for scholarship candidates. Nancy Fisher, Auxiliary President says two Lillian Lambour & Analea Miller Memorial Scholarships will be awarded to East St. Tammany Parish High School Seniors who are pursuing degrees in the healthcare field. Ochsner’s Family Birthing Center has released the March class schedule. Breastfeeding Support Group Meeting March 5th 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Meetings are led by moms and offer the opportunity to share stories and tips.
