NEW ORLEANS— Apolline Restaurant, located at 4729 Magazine Street, has teamed up with Ochsner Health System in its effort to offer the healthiest food options to the community.

Apolline is proud to announce its partnership in Ochsner’s Eat Fit NOLA program.  With the help of Ochsner, Apolline created a special Eat Fit NOLA menu that guests can now request when they eat at the restaurant.  Executive Chef Matt Farmer made nutritional adjustments, including less salt or substituting a side item, to a few of the restaurant’s dishes to fit the specific criteria for the program.

“Fine dining does not have to be unhealthy, and healthy does not have to be boring,” says Apolline’s owner, Keith Andrews.  “With just a few minor changes, we have turned some of our same great dishes into Eat Fit NOLA menu items!”

Registered dietitian Molly Kimball of Ochsner’s Elmwood Fitness Center created Eat Fit NOLA.  The Program highlights specific items on the menus of participating restaurants that meet the health standards of the program.  Eat Fit NOLA seeks to make it easy for anyone to eat nutritiously anywhere in New Orleans.

“We're so excited to have Apolline on board with Eat Fit NOLA,” says Kimball. “We love their emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, and thrilled that they're making it easy for their customers to know what the healthiest options are on the menu.”

Apolline is a New American restaurant with a Cajun/Creole twist. Executive Chef Matt Farmer continually strives to make creative dishes with fresh, locally grown ingredients.  Apolline is open for dinner Tuesday – Thursday from 5:30pm-9:30pm, Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm-10:30pm and for brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm.
