Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus & NOLA Baby Magazine Partner to Educate New Moms
Gretna, LA - On Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 10am-1pm, Ochsner will host a FREE Mommy-To-Be Expo at Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus, 2500 Belle Chasse Highway. The Expo will highlight what the West Bank has to offer new moms as local vendors' crowd into the hospital lobby with free give-away items and product information. Ochsner is inviting future mom's to learn more about what's to come before and after their baby arrives, and to tour the Ochsner -West Bank Campus Labor and Delivery suites and Mother-Baby Units during the Mommy-To-Be Expo.
"Our goal is to help local families to see and utilize the many "new mom" resources that exist within the West Bank community," said Cheri Oser, RN, Director of Women's and Neonatal Services at Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank. "We hope to help prepare future and new moms for their newborn, from breast feeding tips to nutritional lectures to post-pregnancy advice," adds Oser.
Moms will have the chance to register for upcoming Ochsner Lamaze and Prenatal classes. Door prizes will be given away every half hour and optional Health and Wellness seminars will take place throughout the event, including lectures on:
