Proceeds Benefit Cardiology, Transplant and Health Education Programs
WHAT: The 28th Ochsner 5K Family Fest will be held on Saturday, March 9. The event includes a 1-mile run/walk and a 5K run/walk along River Road and the levee. Afterwards, the Rhythm & Sole after-party features live entertainment from The Prescriptions and food and drink from more than 30 New Orleans restaurants. Children ages 2-12 can enjoy the Children’s Area and face painting.
Special guests include the 610 Stompers, Gumbo, the Saints mascot, and the Saintsations!
The Ochsner 5K has raised over $1 million to support thousands of patients and their families. In 2013, the Ochsner 5K will benefit the Cardiology, Transplant and Change the Kids, Change the Future programs. Proceeds will provide education and training for our physicians, financial assistance for transplant patients, and provide education to our New Orleans area students on making healthy choices.
BENEFITTING: Funds from the event benefit the Cardiology, Transplant and Change the Kids, Change the Future programs at Ochsner.
