Event Seeks to Boost Girls’ Interest in Science
NEW ORLEANS – Ochsner Health System will host its annual Brownie Science in Action! Day and Girl Scouts Science Discovery! Day for Brownie Girl Scout troops throughout the New Orleans metro area.

Saturday, April 13th
9:30 am – 1:30 pm
Ochsner Medical Center – Kenner, 180 West Esplanade Avenue
Throughout the day girls will perform experiments led by Ochsner employee volunteers. The goal of the event is to generate a love of science among girls who may someday be doctors, nurses or medical researchers. After participating in the event, participants will earn an official Girl Scout patch.
Cost to participate is $10 per girl, which includes lunch, a patch and experiments. The event is open to Brownie troops through the Girl Scouts Louisiana East. The deadline to register is Friday, March 22nd or when the event reaches maximum capacity of 50 girls.
